Breathing

呼吸：呼吸とは息を吐いて空気を吸うという意味です。

呼とは「呼ぶ」という意味です。私たちは呼ぶ時には息を吐きます。そし吸とは

「吸う」という意味です。つまり息を吐いたり吸ったりするのは正しい順番が在って、先ず最初に吐くのです　その次に吸うのです。　

日本では第二次世界大戦終了前まではこの順番で体育の練習が行われていましたが

終戦後はアメリカ式に替わって吸うのが最初で次に吐く　という順番になってしまいました。

残念なことです。　この様に漢字の熟語は所作の正しい順番を教えてくれます。

例えば、「前後」・「上下」「・「左右」などです。

Breathing: Breathing means to exhale and inhale air.

Ko means "to call." When we call, we exhale. And kyu means "to inhale." In other words, there is a correct order for inhaling and exhaling, and you should exhale first, then inhale.

In Japan, physical education practices were conducted in this order until the end of World War II,

but after the war, it was replaced by the American style, where you inhale first and then exhale.

It's a shame.　In this way, kanji compounds teach us the correct order of actions.　　　　　　　　For example, "front and back," "up and down," "left and right," etc.
