Kanji-characterⅡ

漢字は一文字の一つ一つに意味が有ります。例えば美加という名前の場合には　美加の美は「美しい」という意味を持ちます。美加の加は「加える」という意味を持ちます。この二つを合わせると年齢を重ねるごとに心身共にその美しさが加わっていきますようにという願いを込めて名付けられました。雄介という名前は雄は「勇ましい」という意味で　介は侍の男の子に付ける漢字で「男子」を表すので「勇敢な男」という意味なのです。

薫とは「良い香り」という意味ですが、単なる香水の香りではなくて、葡萄や梅や桃やバラの花などの良い香りがする畑の風上から拭くそよ風が運んでくれる良い香りのことを表しています。

Each kanji character has a meaning. For example, in the name Mika, the "mi" in "mika" means "beautiful". The "ka" in "mika" means "add". Combining these two, the name was chosen with the hope that the beauty of both body and mind would increase as the child grows older. In the name Yusuke, "Yu" means "brave" and "suke" is the kanji given to boys who are samurai, meaning "male", so it means "brave man". "Kaoru" means "good fragrance", but it does not simply refer to the fragrance of perfume, but the pleasant fragrance carried by the breeze blowing from upwind of fields that smell good, such as grapes, plums, peaches, and roses

アルファベットには一文字にこの様な意味はありませんね。

漢字が持っている素敵な点だと思います。

漢字は　殆どが「象形文字」から作られました。例えば　貴方は馬とか象とか鳥などは直ぐにその意味が理解が出来ますね。　

でも、目には見えないものには昔の人はとても苦心したと思います。

例えば　優しさとか　愛とか　悲しみ　などですね。でもこれらも説明することは出来ます。

I think that's a wonderful thing about kanji.

Most kanji were created from "pictographs." For example, you can immediately understand the meaning of horse, elephant, and bird.

However, I think people in the past had a hard time understanding things that they couldn't see with their eyes.

For example, kindness, love, sadness, etc. But these can also be explained.
